Ancient City Lodge - Maswingo
Description
Built upon a ridge overlooking Great Zimbabwe. The architecture and decor of the lodge echo the themes and images of Great Zimbabwe fantasies. One of the most intriguing historical sites in Southern Africa is Great Zimbabwe, a collection of stone structures now a World Heritage Site, it is one of Africa's most priceless archaeological treasures. Accommodation for 48 guests is in lodges with en suite bathrooms and furnishings evoking the royal dwellings of African legend. Also has a swimming pool. Meals are taken in a thatched dining hall or open air summerhouse depending on the weather. Expert historical guides take guests on tours of the ancient capital and provide safari excursions upon request. Five minutes drive to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins.
The lodge has: 44 beds. 14 lodges with twin double beds, 4 family lodges sleeping 4. All lodges have shower, bath, toilet and hand basin, electrical socket - square amp, 220V.
