SAKUNI TREE in Hwange is situated in a 100 square mile private game reserve bordering Hwange National Park. A full range of game drives using four wheel drive vehicles are offered here at the Sakuni Tree Lodge. Night drives are also a not to miss opportunity to see springhare, night apes and hyenas.

Services/Activities:
Lodges of wood and thatch are built into the large trees typical of the Dete Valley. 30 beds in 7 twin bedded tree lodges, 2 double bedded tree lodges, 2 Family tree lodges each sleeping four, 2 Luxury suites for two. One lodge has been built for easy access by disabled persons. All tree houses have hot and cold water, shower, toilet and basin, wall-to-wall carpet, electric socket 13 amp, 220V, extra beds on request, electric blankets in winter. Central bar, lounges, swimming pool, laundry, gift shop, gardens, parking lot and fenced in perimeters. All meals are table d'hôte with a wide selection of dishes. Meals are taken either in the thatched dining room or open air boma depending on the weather. Transfer from airport return (approx 30 minutes) US€24. Transfer from Halfway House return US€25. Access by road: signposted turning left at the 252,5km peg on the Bulawayo-Victoria Falls road.
